ADRIENNE SHELLY: CASE UPDATE

Do you remember Adrienne Shelly? She was a filmmaker at the same time an actress. Sometime in 2006 she was strangled to death by an employee of a contractor. Diego Pillco an Ecuadorian was renovating an apartment at that time and was seen by Adrienne Shelly trying to rob something from her apartment. The former was charged and convicted for the crime committed and was rendered in jail for twenty-five years.



Now, the husband of Adrienne Shelly, Andrew Ostroy, is taking legal action against the contractor who employed the Diego Pillco. He alleged that the company should be held liable for damages for the death of his wife in failing to perform their functions as an employer. Andrew Ostroy claims that they are negligent in hiring employees who are an illegal immigrant in the country. With this, Bradford General Contractors, the contractor should take legal actions in response to this claim of an aggrieved husband.
